Girls’ categories kick off the Costa Brava Girona Basket

The Costa Brava Girona Basket 2025 tipped off yesterday with the opening day of the girls’ competitions, taking place across the venues of Fontajau, Montfalgars, Palau Sacosta, and Sant Gregori.

In the U12F category, Colegio Nuryana from Tenerife and Capital Elite from Kenya finished the first day undefeated. Bàsquet Girona Uni Laia Palau and Fontajau each recorded one win and one loss, while Time Travel and Celrià have yet to win, but showed good competitive spirit.

The U14F category featured tight and intense games. In Group A, Gran Canaria and Femení Osona will battle for the top spot today. In Group B, Time Travel appears to be the strongest team in a very closely contested group.

In U16F, Gran Canaria clearly dominated Group A. In Group B, Time Travel, Colegio Nuryana, and Cornellà B all have a chance to finish first in their group.

Today at 9:00 AM the second day begins, and the finals for all three categories are scheduled for tomorrow.

This year, the Costa Brava Girona Basket has launched a new live program, Behind The Game, which can be followed daily from 8:00 to 8:15 PM on the tournament’s YouTube and Instagram channels (@gironabasket).
