CBGB25 IS UNDERWAY!

Girona, Salt, Sant Gregori, Vilablareix, and Quart — with a total of nine playing venues — will once again be, for another year, the epicenter of international youth basketball with the celebration of the Costa Brava Girona Basket 2025 Tournament. In its twelfth edition, the competition arrives stronger than ever and with a clear commitment to global reach, becoming the most international edition in its history.

The tournament is structured in two phases: from Monday, April 14 to Wednesday, April 16, the girls’ competitions will take place; while from Thursday, April 17 to Saturday, April 19, it will be the boys’ turn. In both cases, the age categories gather young talents from twelve to sixteen years old.

One of the standout features of this edition is, without a doubt, its international focus. Costa Brava Girona Basket 2025 will feature representative teams from countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Chile, Kenya, and various regions of Spain — a testament to the event’s consolidated reputation as a top-tier tournament for youth teams seeking to compete in a high-level sports environment.

Among the participating teams, notable names include the German teams Ulm, Berlin BN, Post Nuremberg, Cybex; the Dutch teams Apollo and Triple Threat; the Chilean team Barpa Sport; and top-level Spanish clubs such as Valladolid and Gran Canaria.

The tournament will also include other teams from across Spain, high-level Catalan clubs, and full representation from Girona across all categories.

A total of nine gyms will host matches during the week: Fontajau, Montfalgars, Palau, and Quart will host the U16 boys’ category; Sant Gregori and Salt will be home to the U14 boys’; and Vilablareix will host the boys’ mini category.

In the girls’ category, the U16 games will be held at Palau Sacosta, the U14 games at Montfalgars, and the youngest girls will play at Sant Gregori and Fontajau.

Costa Brava Girona Basket is not just a sporting event. It is a cultural meeting point, a space for coexistence, and a showcase for emerging talent in youth basketball — where passion for the game and sportsmanship take center stage, with over a thousand players involved.

As for the competition, the finals for the girls’ categories will take place on Wednesday morning, and the boys’ finals will be played on Saturday, also in the morning.
