The TOP European has finished today its second edition. PBG Starzz and the Czech national team have started the day with a game that the Americans have won with an attractive basketball style (82-72). Ulm and Barça agreed with the organization to cancel the game for the third place, as the Catalan team, affected by several injuries after two days of intense competition, did not have enough players available.
The final between Zalgiris Kaunas and Apollo Amsterdam was as good as expected. Both teams have given it all, and more than 250 people have come to Platja d’Aro pavilion to see the match. In a close end of the game, the Dutch –who lost in the final last year– have overtaken Zalgiris (72-75). The Lithuanian center Oleg Kojenets has been chosen as the MVP of the tournament and the winner of the 3-point contest has been Andrija Grbovic, from Ulm.
