The Czech basketball legend, Jiří Welsch, has travelled to Platja d’Aro with the Czech national team as a representative of the basketball federation of his country.
Jiří Welsch started his career in Czech teams and took the leap into NBA when he was 22. He lived four years in the United States where he played for different franchises such as Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks. However, here in Spain, he is remembered for his four seasons in Málaga, playing for Unicaja, where he offered his best basketball.
