The Costa Brava Girona Basket 2020, scheduled for April 9th, 10th and 11th, is postponed to September 4th, 5th and 6th due to the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and the recommendation of the health authorities. The conversations with the relevant responsibles in the last few days have agreed that the most convenient solution is to postpone the event.
In the following days we will contact all the involved clubs so as to define which teams will compete in the Costa Brava Girona Basket 2020, taking into account the age of the players and their group in the current season.
The choice of this weekend (September 4th, 5th and 6th) is made with the idea of creating a pre-season tournament that will allow the teams to prepare the next season with maximum guarantees.
The organisation understands the troubles that this decision can cause, but it has the only purpose of ensuring the safety of all the participants. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and from now on we start working focused on the goal of offering a high-level tournament with full normality as it has been in the previous editions.
