The Costa Brava Girona Basket 2019 has finished its sixth edition with the finals. Six teams from all around the world have won the U16, U14 and U12 male and female competitions.
In U16-M, Zalgiris Kaunas has won over CBC Valladollid (84-48). The Lithuanian have proved their superiority since the first quarter with excellent plays in the paint and a great accuracy from the three-point line.
CEB Girona has not been able to overtake the Dubai academy PSSA (70-86). Their physical superiority has allowed them to win the tournament, although the boys from Girona have competed without any fear.
The Canary team CB 7 Palmas and PSSA have fought for the U12-M championship. In a close game, 7 Palmas boys, encouraged by many relatives that have travelled their way to Girona, have been able to make an epic comeback to win the tournament (86-77).
Tabirako has won the U16-F competition after defeating Sa Real (57-34). In the final, the Basque team has showed a great team work. In the meantime, Sparta Praga and GEiEG-Uni played the U14-F final. Despite Sparta’s win (73-94), the girls from Girona have not changed their competitive attitude in front of a great team. Finally, Sant Josep Obrer has won the U12-F league in Platja d’Aro.
This way concludes the tournament Costa Brava Girona Basket 2019, which 74 teams from 10 different countries have taken part in it, playing more than 220 games in 11 courts around the province of Girona.
