The region of “La Garrotxa” is famous for its volcanoes but also for its basketball. This year, we will have the pleasure of receiving Club Bàsquet Olot in the Costa Brava-Girona Basket. The club from la Garrotxa –which will not be the only one from that region– will take part in the U12 female group.
The origins of basketball in Olot go back to the years after the Spanish Civil War. However, it was not until 1972 that Club Bàsquet Olot was founded. The Catalan club has kept expanding until today, when it gathers hundreds of boys and girls who play in 21 different teams.
