Everything ready for the big end of the CBGB’s week

These days have been incredible, but the week of the Costa Brava Girona Basket is coming to an end in a fifth and decisive day which has confirmed the finalists of the U12M, U14M and the U16M categories, that last one with the success of its new format. The knockout stages have made emotion an all-time present element in every match and the repechage system has allowed El Pilar Valencia to reach the semifinals of the tournament, where they have lost 71-58 against a great Sa Real 1. Their rival for the trophy will be Apollo Amsterdam, who is having a perfect tournament and who got their pass to the final beating Ratiopharm Ulm 67-80. Tomorrow, Sarrià will host the big duels for the title, the third and fourth place and the 5th and 6th one, between Martinenc and TenneT Young Heroes. In U14 the final will be played between SESE and Sant Lluís, while in the U12 Valladolid and Apollo will be the ones battling it out. 

Results aside, today has been a great day in the Costa Brava Girona Basket, where most of the teams have received the gifts of the tournament and Colacao, besides of keeping on discovering the city of Girona. Both in the Ibis and in the B&B players of all ages have kept the fraternity of the last days in the last night of the tournament for the most of them. Tomorrow, it’s time to finish with the energy and strength that have been there all week long. And what a great week it’s been!
